I’ve heard there is community outcry over this. So it is a “right” to have the park there now? It is a business decision and obviously the community didn’t support it enough. If the outcry is over jobs, then at least they are getting advance notice.

Open as the top 5 fastest but Texas wants more and eventually within a few years will become rhe fastest. We can call it “Furiously Fast” or “Light Speed” giving the fast speeds. Just a fantasy but hey Sux Flags Over Texas, if you wanna put this idea into action I would love to see it happen.

In reply to Jefferey Constable. 650 feet tall, heck 85-90mph ain't the fastest, (that honor is 149mph) but we can't have roller coaster cars racing each other at those speeds that kinda speed will get you arrested on roads in Texas but if 90mph isn't fast enough we can adjust it to be the fastest in the world. With over 10,000 ft of track spaning almost 5 minutes long, the longest and darkest tunnels involve state of the art embankments (first of its kind) while corkscrewing to zero gravity as the cars RACE out of the DARK TUNNELS into mind blowing, breath taking 180 feet tall loops that'll make any person SCREAM. Not to mention speeding around the whole park at unimaginable speeds, the scenery is so captivating. Imagine seeing AT&T Stadium and Globe Life from 640 feet at speeds so fast that's illegal on the streets. One car resembles a Lamborghini and the other a Ferrari, or for those who like more domestic what about a Camero and a Mustang. The most inversions and corkscrews you'll ever see on a roller coaster. Oh, just in case, BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES. Another name could be "The Texas Backbone" since RACING is a regular in Texas and sometimes called the backbone.

Let’s imagine a RACING COASTER. The tallest, highest, fastest (from launch), steepest oh and LOUDEST roller coaster in the world, ALL IN ONE ROLLER COASTER with RACING PASSENGER CARS. Instead of Creeping up to the highest point and diving to get top speed, both passenger cars (each can carry 15-20 passengers at one time) are launched simultaneously on steel tracks that are parallel and mirror each other. No one track has advantage over the other. Both Launched like Mr. Freeze at around 65mph for 10 seconds, then THE RACING begins, the LOUDER THE PASSENGERS THE FASTER THE CARS (that’s how the race is determined, THE LOUDEST CAR MEANS THE FASTEST CAR. How it works is after the 10 second lauch, Sensors and monitors (positioned all around the coaster) record the LOUD SCREAMING PASSENGERS and signals the cars to go faster. From the 10 second mark (65mph), the cars go faster (to a max speed of 85mph-90mph) til around the 55-60 second mark (which only 1 quarter 1/4 of the track is complete. 60 seconds and 3 quarters 3/4 of the track to go, so really whichever car hits top speed within 1 minute wins. Now at 85-90mph and nothing but thrill, each car will experience the same only one car is lead. Passengers enjoy, loops, twist, turns, dives and inversions unique and first of its kind, with pitch black tunnels that’ll leave each breathless. Guaranteed to have best experience imaginable. With most of it’s steel track commensing most of the parks acreage. Let’s call it “IDENTICAL STEEL” or “TEXAS TWIN STEEL”. The idea is amazing but I may need a little help naming it.

The Great Chase from Six Flags America will relocated to Six Flags Magic Mountain will replaced the Magic Flyer soon and also Whistlestop Park with Whistlestop Train The Magic Flyer a old kiddie roller coaster and Water Play Area is closing forever at Six Flags Magic Mountain really soon to make room for expansion of Bugs Bunny World! Also the Zamperla Ferris Wheel will be added to Six Flags Great America soon for new kiddie area in Gurnee, Illinois along with the new Family Coaster and New Rides

This is a fantastic article, and really well researched. After you mentioned to me on LinkedIn that the Flip Flap Railway had upstop wheels I did a bit of Googling. I didn’t do the maths that you’ve done, but I also found it unlikely that it’d have hit 12g. While the clothoid loop reduces g forces, there are quite a few coasters out there where the loops look reasonably round. For example on Pinfari Zyklon coasters, and on some of the Schwarzkopf coasters the loops look relatively round, compared to something like a B&M. It seemed unlikely to me that being round would have made such a big difference. So thank you for crunching the numbers and proving it.
