Six Flags New England has announced Quantum Accelerator, a new Intamin dual-launch straddle coaster for 2025.
The first tire-driven launch out of the station goes from 0 to 30mph.
The steampunk themed hover bikes hit a top speed of 45 miles per hour after the second launch and the maximum height of 59 feet is reached.
Quantum Accelerator’s Backstory
In a quiet, secret transaction, Professor Screamore purchased the tiny town of Crackaxle Canyon. The abandoned wild West outpost was the perfect hiding place for his laboratory of bizarre inventions. Time travel always fascinated the eccentric inventor. He dreamed of combining old-world technologies, like steam-powered machinery, with modern marvels to launch himself back and forth through time.
But not straight paths through time. Professor Screamore wanted to travel at high speeds with twists, turns, and lots of ups and downs with airtime. Now the professor is almost ready to reveal his latest creation: Quantum Accelerator. Ready to launch into yesterday and tomorrow, steampunk style?

Looks like a great fit for the park. Does not look fully out of control like some of the earlier styles of this coaster, but still a lot of fun. Call me a nerd for capacity but I hope the station uses one side to load and the other side to unload. In the video it looks like everything is from the left.
Good observation! Hard to tell from the rendering but that second launch track would limit where the exit path could be.
