Siren’s Curse Sleek New Trains Unveiled

The trains for Siren’s Curse, Cedar Point’s crazy new roller coaster, were revealed during Winter Chill Out, a special event where fans got a behind-the-scenes look at the park’s off-season operations and upcoming changes for the 2025 season. Winter Chill Out is a ticketed event but all proceeds benefit A Kid Again. $120,000 dollars were raised this year, bringing the total to over $800,000 since the event was founded. For attendees, a tour guide led groups through the closed park, making stops at select locations for photos, Q&A with park experts and more.

Winter Chill Out 2025

Here are a few notable observations from this year’s tour.

Most of the ride vehicles are in the process of being torn down, inspected, and rebuilt, like this Millennium Force car shown below.

Snake River Falls chute-the-chute boat ride closed last fall and has been removed, leaving a wide open view of Millennium Force:

Millennium Force Refurb

Speaking of, Millennium Force is celebrating 25 years of operation this season. It’s getting a new control system and half of it will be repainted this off-season, and the rest next off-season. It appears some of the supports have been changed from grey to white.

The multi-color support lights under Millennium Force’s supports have been fixed and will return this season.

Top Thrill 2 Update

Top Thrill 2 is still on-track for opening day. The modified trains should be returned to the park soon.

New this year, there will be free lockers available!

Siren’s Curse Construction Site

Like Top Thrill 2, Siren’s Curse will also require guests to go through a metal detector but there will be free mini lockers available. You won’t want anything to fall out of your pockets when you’re suspended 160 feet in the air, looking straight at the ground.  Next, you’ll fly through 2,966 feet of twisting track at a top speed of 58 mph.

Multiple sections of the very twisty track have already been installed. See how the track twists and turns through the supports for the lift hill? It was confirmed that Siren’s Curse will have a Passholder Preview.

The tilt track piece by itself is 61 feet long and weighs 45 tons. It was installed on February 4th. All part of the tallest, fastest and longest tilt roller coaster in America.

Siren’s Curse Trains

The highlight of the day was getting the first look at the lead car for the Siren’s Curse trains and boy do they look sleek…

The trains from Vekoma feature lighting and on-board audio, a first for Cedar Point. I’m told a wrap will also be added to the cars to trick them out even more.

The final audio and lightning configurations are still being worked on; what was shown was merely a demonstration.

‘There will be two trains on Siren’s Curse. The coaster features 13 weightless airtime moments and two inversions.

Check out the demo lightning package in the video below. Can’t wait to see this on the full train running around that twisted circuit!
