Legoland Florida and California Opening Groundbreaking Indoor Coasters in 2026

Legoland Florida and Legoland California will debut first-of-their-kind indoor roller coasters in 2026, owner Merlin Entertainments announced today.

The two indoor roller coasters total approximately $90 million combined, making the biggest in-park investment in the two theme park resorts’ histories.

The “out of this world” coaster will combine “the creative world of Lego building with an exhilarating ride and storyline that only Legoland parks can deliver for families with children ages 2 to 12.”

Specific details about the coasters have yet to be revealed, but Merlin did share with us photos of the Legoland Florida coaster’s foundation under construction:

“While the details remain under wraps, one thing is clear,” said LEGOLAND Florida Resort President Franceen Gonzales.

“This new ride will take our guests on an unprecedented adventure, setting a new standard for fun and imagination.”

“This isn’t just a ride, it’ll be an exploration unlike any other,” said LEGOLAND California Resort President Kurt Stocks. “As the first rollercoaster to be built in 20 years at LEGOLAND California, we’re sparing no expense to deliver the most innovative, interactive and captivating experience possible.”

The coaster will be Legoland California’s fourth coaster and first in over 20 years and Legoland Florida’s fourth coaster in 14 years. At Legoland Florida, this new roller coaster will be located where the former Flying School Vekoma suspended coaster resided from 2004 to 2023. According to RCDB, the manufacturer will be ART Engineering.
